They told us to never leave the resort unless you were being escorted by someone affiliated with Sandals going from resort to resort. We never left. :lol2:

 

 

There were locals who would come to the gazebo on their boats and sell local goods and braid hair and we'd give them food or cash in exchange for some of their local goods. That was the extent of our contact with anyone not from the resort.

When we were in St. Lucia we got into a discussion with one of the workers about it. He said people are dying to get hired by the resorts. Said he made $350 a month, and they worked 6 12 hour days a week.

In Montego Bay, snorkeled and went to Margaritaville. People were very pushy about their tips and want a tip for everything. Very different from the Latin countries.

Water slide is worth trip to Margaritaville. Completely worth the tips. Best I have been on.

My friend's family has one down there. They are very nice basically 2 houses in 1! Just don't drive reckless in the golf carts security will get ya!
