Come on, mountain ref. He said there needs to be a ban on Muslims entering this country. He may have softened the rhetoric a bit, but it was obvious the intent. Now whether that means he is racist towards Muslims because of that stance is debatable. Many agree with his position on it, and that is not a universal conservative belief. I agree it is fashionable and easy to say, "Republican guy is racist." The left loves playing that card.

 

The David Duke thing was a bad moment as well.

I am not sure what comments you are referring to. I hear people say that but then they use some small clip taken out of context to label him....or they say because he called some woman a "pig" he hates all women and views them beneath him. He's not politically correct. He speaks off the cuff...not from some speech that someone else wrote and put on a prompter.

 

AND the republican establishment has been more despicable then the left since the start of the primary. They are scared because Trump doesn't answer to them. They railed him for not saying from the outset that he would sign a pledge supporting the eventual nominee (he eventually did) and then when it looked like he was going to win they all jumped ship. They are hiding behind the same "racist" and "bigot" lines bc they can't come out and say "we don't support trump because he's not our puppet."

What you seem to be arguing is that one shouldn't assume that Trump hates all women just because he degrades Megyn or Rosie or Carly. I don't think American women are buying that argument.

I have no problem with the fact that Trump is an outside-the-box candidate. I do have a problem with (a) his boorish behavior and (b) determining what exactly he stands for.

 

Interesting comment last night on cable squawk show by a GOP strategist. She said we need to differentiate between Trump the entertainer and Trump the office-seeker -- when Don says stupid stuff. Right.

What would your thoughts be on Hillary on these very same talking points. I find it very interesting that you would single Trump out but not anyone else.

Here is the quote and the policy reference regarding the Muslim ban. As long as the ban does not apply to citizens, which I have heard him say, I'm ok with it. We are 15 years past 9/11 now and we still have jihadist inspired attackes in this country.
