If you're drafting a RB that high, he better be the next Barry Sanders or Jim Brown.

Elliott is outstanding, but Sanders and Brown he ain't.

UH, no one is Barry or Jim and no one will probably be like them.

Only way I see this pick making sense for the Cowboys is if they use Elliot to dominate possession time and protect their defense by playing keep-away.

Well if the other team dont have the ball they cant score.

At least they wont have it until Romo throws a pass.

This... He's going to be fine in that system and put up good numbers, but nothing special. They will probably run him into the ground for 3-4 years and let him go.

Not sure how the salaries shake out but if they can keep Elliot' date=' Morris and McFadden they sure can trot a fresh top talented RB out there every play to operate behind that line. Romo has to be loving life.[/quote']

Looks like 23 million for Mr. Elliott.

I think its a good solid pick. Do they have other needs, yes, but so do a lot of other teams.

IMO they get a bad grade because its just the Cowboys.

Ezekiel Elliott is the 3rd RB drafted in the top 20 by the @Dallascowboys.

The other 2 are HOF'ers.#NerdNotes

Dorsett and Emmit are the 2.

They got a bad grade cause they are the cowboys? What? That is funny. The Cowboys are the media darlings of the nfl even though they have sucked since the 90s. If they got a bad grade it's because they may have deserved it. I guess cowboy fans are like my fellow UK fans and think everyone is out to get them.

The love they get from the media is crazy for how bad they been for years.
