Is It Windy Enough For You?

Featured Replies

Gotta be gusting close to 50 here.

On a positive note, maybe this will get us shed of some of those Bradford pear trees.

Several gusts over 50 in Louisville today. 7,000 people without power, and a stretch of the Gene Snyder Freeway is shut down because of downed lines.

Drove down 27 to Lexington today and saw a Bradford pear tree split down the middle and half in the ground.

The worst is just about over it seems. My little piece of the planet has survived unscathed. Good luck to all!

No Cable or Internet for about 3 hours here in southern Independence. MOM said they haven't had power for the same amount of time.

Really surprised there hasn't been a wind advisory today??? NWO what's that all about?

Weather channel called for a wind advisory this morning at 7 a.m. until early hours on Sunday, 25 to 30 mile an hour gusts.

Ahhhhh I see it now. Had to click on the advisory link. The weather channel app was only showing the freeze advisory unless I hit the link for advisories.

Hope you did't plant anything that needed covered tonight. Not sure how you would protect it in this wind.

Or the freezing temps. I've seen a few photos of uprooted trees, that's intense.

Crazy stupid windy today. Couldn't even think about playing golf today. I bet we easily had 30 mph sustained winds today with gusts 50 plus.

Lost power for a few minutes about 10 minutes ago. It's back but the Internet and cable still aren't, 7 hours without either.

Yea why haven't they called it something cool yet. I feel like that's what happens after every weird weather event. They look in a book and then realize it was a that.

A tall old tree in my neighbor's yard broke maybe a couple of feet off the ground and fell. Luckily, it fell at exactly the right angle. It didn't fall on the house, garage or block the drive that we share to our own driveways.

Finally have cable and internet back 8 hours later. It still amazes/boggles my mind how wires can carry so much info. It almost freaks me out. If we can figure that out its just a matter of time until we start sending photos to the next galaxy via snapchat.

Small limb blew off tree in tree lawn in front of our house. Of course it hit my wife's car in the driveway and pit a scratch and small dent in her door, DAMN!
