I would like a hire that's not a NewCath guy. Someone who has never heard of any of the longstanding NewCath families.( granted I am friends with and love them all) A person with a blank slate roll into town and see what happens. It worked pretty darn well at a different Catholic HS.

It will never happen....you got 9 NCC guys on the bench.....they arent going anywhere anytime soon.

Detzel is a covcath grad but had been teaching at newcath and coaching there for several years before becoming head coach.

Collopy was at Holy Cross when they won the All A and I think he was at NCC the next year when they won All A in 2012

The Detzel hire was an in house hire. Ncc isn't likely to hire outside any time soon.

This needs to happen at a few schools in my opinion. Not saying anything bad about Dawn at all, at other schools just watched to many alumni play their kids and good friends kids without paying much attention to anyone else.....
