RG3 to Cleveland

Hold the phone...they are still going to draft a QB with their 2nd pick in the draft. Don't unpack all of your bags yet, RG.

I can only assume the price is right for RG3.

I don't think I would make that deal if I were Hue Jackson or the Browns unless it was super team friendly.

And I am still drafting a QB if one comes close to being worthy of the pick I have.

Well, he's a step up from Johnny Idiot...

... just not a big one.

I don't think RG3 is good enough to win consistently in the AFC North.

They should draft Ramsey from FSU.

The Browns confirmed the news in an official release on Thursday afternoon. NFL Media Insider Ian Rapoport reports Griffin's deal is for two year and is worth a total of $15 million with $6.75 million guaranteed. Rapoport adds that RGII is set to make $7.5 million in 2016 with $3.5 million coming in the form of a signing bonus.

Robert Griffin III signs with Cleveland Browns - NFL.com

Which is worse, back up in DC or presumed starter in Cleveland? I know that athletes want to be 'the man' but seriously, it's Cleveland.

I can't imagine Cleveland fans being happy with this signing.

As a Bengals fan I like the signing because I think it increases the chances the Bengals sweep the Browns the next couple of years.

I see nothing wrong with this signing. Price is right. They will still draft Goff or Wentz.

I agree. That looks like a price you can stomach and still draft a QB. If it doesn't work, you cut RG3 and move on.

I think they draft a qb in the 2nd round.

I disagree, RG3 is already claiming the starting job and said quote: “I’m a vet now” and that he would take a rookie quarterback under his wing. “If they draft a quarterback, it doesn’t bother me at all,” he said. “I’m just ready to compete.”

The deal also suggests that Josh McCown is out and if your ultimate goal is to draft a QB high in the first round are you better off with Josh McCown nurturing him or are you better off with RG3 tinkling on the bushes. It is a completely different dynamic.

I can't imagine Cleveland fans being happy with this signing.

Will be hanging out with one most of the weekend, I'll report back.
