March 24, 201610 yr Axl Rose is apparently going to break off the GNR reunion and become the front man for AC/DC! Axl Rose Joining AC/DC '''All But A Done Deal''' | SNY
March 24, 201610 yr Price of tickets just went up I just can't see people running to Ticketmaster to see Axl. Check out some of his latest stuff on YouTube and it doesn't take long to figure out he isn't the same singer he was in 1985.
March 24, 201610 yr This is just awful, horrible, terrible news. Axl is a mess, and aside from curiosity, you couldn't pay me to sit through a whole show of Axl singing AC/DC songs. Lots of better choices out there if they really want to soldier on, which really they probably shouldn't be doing even with Johnson fronting the band.
March 24, 201610 yr Axl's been to a few too many buffets to front for anyone. Those AC/DC guys are in the neighbourhood of 60 years old. Most rockers are dead by then, let alone still rocking.
March 24, 201610 yr Saw him in 2012 in a small club in Hells Kitchen in NYC. Doors opened at 9:00. Warm up band started at 10:00. Axl came on at 12:15 and rocked till 3-something. Great night (from what I remember) and he had a lot of energy.
March 24, 201610 yr Though he's not a household name like Axl Rose is, Mark Tornillo, the present front man for Accept has the right vocal gravel and stage strut to be a decent replacement for Brian Johnson. Wonder how he'd feel about moonlighting with AC/DC as a side project to his primary gig? He'd be a much cooler elder statesman than the pathetic laughable Axl Rose. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TRxPIxJnHDQ
March 24, 201610 yr A screamin' rock chick probably wouldn't be a bad idea either. Lzzy Hale of Halestorm has the pipes and rockin' stage presence for such a gig. Click on gif for photo slide show lzzy hale halestorm gif | WiffleGif
