Obama Dissed on the world stage

Featured Replies

Obama left at the tarmac upon landing in Cuba, with no reception from the Castro Bros., then left hanging and completely dissed by Raul at the press conference. Obama= The Rodney Dangerfield of World politics!

Obama just a puppet for the Castro brothers... They will still get their few billion gifts from him, at tax payer expense of course..

I just hope NO American companies invest in Cuba until they pay back the companies that were stolen by Fidel Castro. Why would any company invest there when the Castro government always owns 51% ?

Because there is money to be made. They'll invest; and they won't hesitate anymore than tech companies did over China or textile companies did over Vietnam.

Then they cannot complain when the business is taken over by the government of Cuba. For myself and family, I will never travel into a communist country.

Didn't a major hotel chain just announce they were building 3 properties in Cuba?

Yes, Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide: Starwood on Saturday inked three hotel deals in Cuba, marking the first U.S. hospitality company to enter the country’s market in almost 60 years. The Hotel Inglaterra in Havana will join the company’s luxury collection while the Hotel Quinta Avenida will become a Four Points by Sheraton. Starwood also plans to include Hotel Santa Isabel into its luxury collection.

Verizon is patiently waiting to provide Internet to Cubans but the government doesn't seem to be coming off of their internet restrictions any time soon.

60 years of alienation has worked great.

Let's try this maybe the population will make a movement.

They've had open travel and trade with the rest of the world including Europe. If that wasn't enough to embolden the people to start a movement, I'm not sure what US Relations being reinstated with Cuba will do.

IMO this entire hastily put together deal with Cuba is about President Obama working on his Presidential Legacy...nothing really wrong with that, as all Presidents try make a splash in their last term that they'll be remembered for.
