How do you stop Ben Weyer?

Well rounded game, correct?

How do you stop him?

And if you can't stop him, does NCC win it all?

Weyer has trouble with athletic players who body up on him. If Goodin plays against him, Goodin is too quick and way too athletic for Weyer. Remember that Weyer is a Division II player, Goodin is a big-time Division I recruit who can defend guards or forwards. That would be a bad matchup for Weyer, who has limited quickness and ball handling skills.

I don't think they will be guarding each other

Thanks for the post board comment. Get over your D2 to D1 comparing it gets old. Weyer is a D1 player playing at a D2 school next year kinda like Cindy Moss playing at a D3 school for Thomas More and she is a D1 player that has WNBA looking at her. We know you are a Carson Williams fan. Williams is good but he has no all around game that Weyer has.

Like Thor said, he's not dominant against athletic tall guys, and guys like Goodin from Taylor County or Williams from Dunbar could give him fits, but he's a physical guy that'll wear down guys like that before they wear him down.

Key to beating NCC is not allowing Moeves, Hall or Anderson to start hitting from outside. Make NCC play inside the 3 point line and work hard for every shot.

Her name is Sydney Moss, not Cindy. I could care less about Carson Williams, so you're wrong there as well. Weyer is not in the same league as Goodin, and that's what I said. Sounds like you have an emotional investment in Weyer. Get over it and face facts he is a D-2 player. Nothing wrong with D-2.

That's what I said, and why he is playing at Bellarmine and not Xavier, UK, Louisville, Western Ky., etc. He's a good high school player. Goodin is a spectacular high school player as is Sloan.

Lol. Goodin is overrated watch him quit on his team after they got demolish by Covcath by 50.

I would love to tell you why Ben Weyer is not going D1, but I will keep it to myself. Where is Goodin going to school next year? Wasn't he all that last year and his team was sent packing early. Also, has Taylor County or NCC for that matter made it to the finals?

Lastly, is Carson Williams playing in this tourney?

We shall see tomorrow.

Let's do two things here. One realize the kid is playing for the stare tournament and two realize like all kids, he will be reading this. Ben has proven over and over the he is the real deal. Q and Ben are two different types of players and control the game in much different ways. They have proven they both can control the game regardless of who they are playing and at what level. Let the kid play in the biggest tournament of his current life without people putting meaningless thoughts in his head.

This thread will bring to many people giving their biased opinion which will only try to mess with his head.

Good luck NCC, bring it home to the 9th.

Typical weak sauce thread.

Sounds like you're one of those guys who says "I got a secret but I'm not telling anyone" and doesn't know anything in reality. Didn't you say a month ago you were through posting on this forum? You can't even tell the truth with something as simple as that, so why would anyone believe anything else you post?

If he's reading these posts and it messes with his head, he will struggle to even play at the D-2 level. I think he's more mature than that. He seems like he is a good kid, just not a D-1 player. There's no shame in that at all. Quit making a big deal out of it.

Goodin is a great athlete that scores 80% in and around the paint. Make him shoot outside the paint and he is flat weak. Xavier believes that his athleticism can overcome this weakness if he is open to change. Think of a smaller version of UK's Briscoe. It can work, but right now TC's dependence on him could work well for the all around smart play and inside/out game of NCC.

Hope both advance to see that match-up.
