Connor Maddox showed once again he was best player and shooter on the court not a better shooter in the region. All these kids play so great together. They love the game and each other such a joy to watch. They just dismantled Montgomery County tonight.

Augusta played great. Played smart and made great decisions. Yes it is a small school, that's the good thing about about basketball. You only need to find 5-8 who can play.... And those boys can play.

This was nothing short of a clinic by Augusta. An absolute clinic coaching and on the floor. Watching the Moco side the fans were in disbelief.

 

Not sure why Moco didn't go to their bigs on offense. Jones and combs should have been the key targets all night long.

to many 3pt balls. 5/22.....this team has the pieces to win if they used other options as you mentioned. Also a 2-3 zone would have helped stop Augusta with all the driving to the rim points. They was 21/31 and majority of those was lay ups. Poor game plan from Montgomery.....

Congratulations to Augusta, you controlled and dominated this game from the tip. You are an absolute pleasure to watch.

I've watched moco from the beginning of the season to last night and I've never understood what/why/when and how their coaching staff thought that was a man to man team. Am I the only moco follower that could see that?

 

Augusta exploited their lack to guard over and over again.

 

This team lived by the three and died by three. When they are making shots they can play with anyone. Games like this was sprinkled thru out the season, the coaching staff was never able to adjust their game plans for bad shooting nights. The mismatches on the inside last night looked like high schoolers vs middle schoolers. Combs was being guarded by the pg for crying out loud.

Please throw him the ball.

 

The moco team was out coached miserably by Kirk and his staff. Hats off to them.

However Combs should never be in man to man situation with any of the Augusta kids.

 

Moco's lack of a credible game plan made Augusta's look even better.
