10th Region Bracket

Featured Replies

Most these schools don't pack big crowds and Mason Co is old and outdated..... True fans will travel regardless how far. No different than Montgomery or Paris going to Mason. Stop crying and enjoy some good ball or stay at home.

Disagree. Been to every region tournament since 96, but 3. 2/3 were when it's been held at Montgomery Co, the other at NKU.

Hard to make a 6PM start game from almost two hours away.

I wouldn't say the The Fieldhouse is outdated. We have a new floor and new fans in the rafters. Place is held up nice and clean majority of the time and it's a great place to watch ball. Although it isn't as packed as it once used to be, it's still an alright atmosphere for a semi-final or championship game in the 10th.

Whose decision was it for the 6:00 starting time?

Games have always been at 6:00 except last year. All first rounds games were played on Saturday.

This is the exact haughty attitude you have displayed in previous threads. It's better for MoCo and the inconvenience of the majority of the region and fans matters not. The financial drain on the other participants will be significant, but congrats you got your way at everyone else's expense.

After doing some more checking, it has varied from 6:00-6:30. It has also varied on the semifinals being regular schedule and split schedule.

It is a moot point and there is going to be some good basketball played at Montgomery County in the next week. BUT the crowds would have been so much better at Mason County. It is basically just the region throwing away money having the tournament at the southern most part of the region or if the 37th decides to host it at the northern most. Don't know why the 37th wouldn't try to host it now.

It should be at the Fieldhouse but its not and so let's all just enjoy some good basketball and see who comes out of this crazy region.

There's no sense in building a gym the size of Montgomery County's if you aren't going to hold region which is were I feel bad for Indian fans. Does anyone know how many are there for the district?

The Fieldhouse is old, but it's a charming old, not nasty old. So much history and tradition. Why else would we call it "The 10th Region Basketball Cathedral?"

For money issues they raise the price of admission $1 which adds up so it's not as big of a deficit, the only problem is travel.

Also, are Mason and Montgomery the only places that can hold region?

Personally I thought that was great. With as far apart as the 10th region is I support doing this every year. Drove down to maysville, watch two games, some Pasquale's inbetween and then two more games.

It's hard to have that much fun for $25-30. And yes, that includes some Fieldhouse popcorn.

I think it's a good draw for Montgomery and I'm glad of it. They are my sweet 16 pick. Go Indians.

Realistically, yes. The only high school venues.

As far as the draw is concerned, ol' pap has ALWAYS said that you have to play good teams at some point in time. Draw makes little difference.

If you have for say a Montgomery/Paris regional final money will not be an issue.

GRC girls will be doing this Monday when they travel to Campbell Co for the regional tourney. I don't hear any GRC or Bourbon Co fans complaining about having to travel 2 hours. Why is it just in the boys thread we hear all the complaining????:idunno:

And just basketball. Why not any of the other sports?

Probably because there's more support and interest on the boys side
