Nice win and it is just a flat out treat to watch Ulis and Murray... Vandy will be tough, but feel better because of those two and Ulis running the offense.

“You know it was funny when I recruited him, people said, ‘Oh, it’s nice he finally has a four-year guard.’ Sorry folks, we don’t have a four-year guard. We’re going to have another guard next year.”

Quote from Cal after the game about Ulis....

Ulis was only 5-13 FG but 9-11 FT.

This team reminds me of that U-conn team that beat us, great back court guards, and a good stretch player. Guards win in NCAA tourney games, and I really like ours.

Once Murray got his sea legs under him he has become a tremendous player. This kid should be a high school senior. Write a book on how how to play point guard, you feature Tyler Ulis. Ulis skill set is off the charts.

I'm not sure we realize how special these two are.

He quit forcing the action and let the game come to him more, which is a very cliche saying, but very true for Murray.

The play towards the end where he went between his legs and turned it over. Coach Cal gave him grief for turning back to his old ways. That's what the joking around was all about when they took Murray out.

He's so much better than the first 25% of the season.

Do you guys think Briscoe is gone?

Where would he be going?

Where would he be going?

Hopefully to Darel Carrier's shooting academy in Bowling Green.

Good win and hopefully Willis can play Saturday.

From the picture of his ankle floating around twitter the other night, I'll be shocked if he plays Saturday or next week...maybe longer.

NASTY. Swelled up like a grapefruit.

This is all part of the development process. With Cal's ability to recruit the way he does there has been an adjustment for UK fans. We have to realize that these kids are at different development levels. While a Demarcus Cousins may be ready to walk straight into the NBA, Derek Willis took two seasons to contribute. While Murray may have looked a bit overrated early on he now seems to be hitting his stride. Ulis once seemed to be a four year kid but probably goes this draft. Isaac Humphries was pretty well written off this season. Has been an interesting season and may get really good from here on out.

Completely agree with you. Coach Cal doesn't get enough credit for how well he develops talent. You can list out numerous guys.

Did Josh attend this academy?
Where would he be going?

The draft. Maybe it's a stupid question but I'm not really sure so I asked.

Sophomore point guard Tyler Ulis also mentioned the incident in his pregame speech to the team.

“I huddled them up and I didn’t really have much to say,” Ulis said. “I just told them, ‘Only thing we need to not do is spike the ball at the end of the game.’ We joke with him a lot."
