I've been arguing about this on Facebook for a day. This is not a BLM endorsed act no matter how much the media wants you to believe it is. I'm continually amazed at how smart some of you appear to be but continually get duped by sensationalism. These are four criminals who should be locked up. Not members of the BLM movement.

You're right, they have not come out and explicitly said that they were members of BLM. I jumped to a conclusion after I read that the 4 thugs harassed the marine, and continually asked him if he thought that black lives mattered. When the marine did the responsible thing, and ignored the garbage in his ear trying to incite fear and intimidation, they labelled him a racist and then, like the true cowards they were, hit him from behind while he wasn't looking and robbed him. They picked this marine intentionally. Not because he was a marine, but because he was white.

 

Yet little, if any, national coverage on this. No CNN breaking news alerts. No Obama press conferences. No protests. The white equivalent to Jesse Jackson isn't running to the scene (I'm not even sure who that would be.)

Where is the media coverage for the black dude that was assaulted by the group of white people for being black? No CNN breaking news alerts. No Obama press conferences. No protests. No Shaun King article. No Jesse Jackson.

 

Racial assaults happen everyday from both sides. The only reason this made news is because the marine stated that they asked him about Black Lives Matter. Take out those three words and it is just another assault in a violent country. A white dude, a black dude, a Muslim, a Hispanic, a woman and a Christian are all being humiliated, assaulted, ridiculed and discriminated against at this very second. It's the sad world we live in.

Possibly. At the same time the marine could have made up that the criminals mentioned anything about Black Lives Matter. Goes both ways.
