February 6, 201610 yr I am excited. I am a PNC club member and got notice on Monday that I am able to move to club level in the expansion. So now I need to start saving my pennies to afford an extra 4k to move.
February 6, 201610 yr Will the basketball scandal have a material effect on fund raising? I think that's a reasonable concern. I think, though, that the majority of fans/donors want to move forward. I think there are some major donors who will maybe put conditions on their support. Those may not be publicly announced, but I feel some major changes will be coming to the University as a whole, and I would have to think that the pull of major donors will influence those decisions. I say that with this caveat: I know absolutely nothing. I am purely speculating from the perspective of a fan who wants to move forward, and feels nothing will expedite that motion more than the threat of losing major donor funding.

February 6, 201610 yr Seriously though, that looks really nice and as someone else said, Papa John's will be one of the nicest in the country when this is completed. Just a hunch but I believe they may come in a bit over budget though. 50 million doesn't get you much these days, so I'm not sure how they're going to pull off something that nice for that price.
February 8, 201610 yr How many times did PJCS sell out last season (home schedule was not particularly attractive)? What is % of sellouts and % of capacity since it opened? I know it is a "chicken / egg" argument and the suites are the big things, but I wasn't under the impression that UofL football was an impossible ticket to get. Also, assume this will be completed before the 9.2.19 game against Notre Dame? Count on that selling out. 9.1.18 v. Alabama in Orlando and 9.2.19 hosting Notre Dame? Labor Day is gonna be good for the Ville. (2017 v. Purdue in Indy should be fun as well.)

February 10, 201610 yr I'm sure the thinking is that they'll always sell out home games against Kentucky, Clemson, or Florida State. Everything else is just an opportunity for growth. We'll see if it takes hold.
February 10, 201610 yr If UL lowers the price on end zone seats, I believe they could still average at near capacity for most games. End zone seats are not a high commodity, but they can be used to target a group of people that normally would watch from home due to financial reasons, as long as they are priced right.
February 10, 201610 yr The same people that said UL shouldn't expand because they couldn't fill it the first time will be the same folks that say it this time. The fact of the matter is UL has only had one game since expansion that had less attendance than the previous capacity. This time will be no different. Folks will move downstairs from the Flight Deck to fill the new portion of the stadium, and the upper deck will continue to be the cheap seats.
