Exactly... As I said above, the "must give your name in order to report a violation" gives the KHSAA the out they need to keep from having to investigate 95% of the stuff that goes on.

 

If I had proof that a school was cheating and it bothered me that much I wouldn't have a problem putting my name on the report when I reported the violation.

The issue is this. FOr most people who are just fans, they don't want to be thrust into the public light over high school sports. I'd include myself in that group. For coaches, you can get blackballed REALLY quick. Bruce pearl did when he reported Illinois for a violation (and he was supposed to remain anonymous).

I wonder if the issue is that they are concerned they'd get a ton of complaints everyday with a good amount being frivolous. Imagine if they were anonymous. How many complaints about Trinity and Highlands would they get everyday? :lol2: I know you say you think they wouldn't get many but I think there are plenty of BGP members who would call everyday. :lol2:

And I quote "we interviewed the people you gave us and they all denied the allegations"..the UK compliance office has no teeth......they couldn't do anything to anyone for lying .... but the people could have lost their jobs for telling the truth .....for some reason they chose to lie

Nah. It's doesn't take any time to figure out if something is credible. This is the crap the khsaa says about why they don't allow whistle blower protection.

The intent of the tournament is definitely lost. Small schools without a pipeline are at a big disadvantage.

At one time they were a boarding school, now they have one house where several boys basketball players live without their parents!

And according to later posts - only basketball players live there.

This (housing basketball players only - or basketball players at all) sounds to be athletically advantageous.
