Cordia 62 Murray 45 (All "A" State Finals)

Featured Replies

The intent of the tournament is definitely lost. Small schools without a pipeline are at a big disadvantage.

Versus small schools competing in a state that only has one class of basketball that is recognized by the KHSAA?

What address should we send that shirt to? Zeke Biallas born and raised here. Oumar Keita came as an 8th grader. AJ Chisolm and Ramon Mercado both came their freshman year. Kareem McDonald currently freshman. Anthony Nelson came as a sophmore and has only played high school basketball at Cordia HS. And you can cut the sleeves off yourself.

I only get 3/5s of a T-Shirt - the other two starters obviously didn't begin at Cordia High School as freshmen.

I guess my next question would be - What were the influences that led these players to Cordia High School??? Do they have a wonderful brochure that they distribute world-wide??? Assuming it wasn't for academic advantage, something or someone lured these kids to Cordia, and there must have been strong motivation for these kids to uproot and move to Hazard/Hindman.

Would Rhodes be willing to take a job at Red Bird???

These schools generally never have a shot to win the big crown. The class A gave them something to compete for in the beginning, now not so much.
Doesn't matter what you do...there will always be transfers.

Some legitimate and some not-so-legitimate.

Most transfers don't get free room and board at the new high school

Actually if my math is correct I think that would be a 4/5 tee shirt. The thing I really want to know is how many of Brossarts players are from their district. I think that any private - catholic school should hang their head in shame any time they cry about any school "Recruiting " a player when every player they have has been recruited. I don't have a problem with bringing in players just don't throw stones when you live in glass houses! Maybe Brossart is still mad at Cordia from some of them butt kickings they used to give them in cross country back in the glory days. Just don't try to act like you are above everybody else when you are doing the same thing it makes you out to be a hypocrite. That is just my opinion! With that being said what address do you want your shirt sent to I can cut the sleeves out for you and I guess that will make it a 4/5 tee shirt.

Double post

Brossart has one JV basketball player who doesn't live in Campbell County ...... the rest all attended Brossart feeder schools or live in Campbell County

The 5 starters 3 are St Joe Cold Spring and the other 2 (or 3) they rotate some starters are St Mary's kids .....also a feeder school

Unlike Cordia, the Brossart parents pay to send their kids to school .... gee ....with all the other options....I wonder why ???

Peace out!

Never apologize! Never explain!

Your friends don't need it and your enemies won't believe you anyway.

You are right, it's the cross-country thing. That has been a real burr under my saddle for an awful long time. Jeez!

No dog in this fight, just passing through. But, you mentioned six kids, and only said one was actually homegrown. Hardly a convincing argument on your part.

So what brought the other five to Cordia? The thriving economy in that area? The large number of jobs in the area? Cordia's reputation as an academic institution?

Inquiring minds may wonder these type of things.

I'm not trying to convince anyone, just letting mustang know he's got a Shirt coming his way if he will ever fork over his address! The only opinion we care about is the khsaa. I will never be able to change the haters minds. We've answered our questions to the khsaa and our boys are eligible so it's time for everybody to get over it. Let our boys enjoy this moment! Spit your hate at somebody else, our kids have dealt with enough!

I will start by again extending congratulations to Cordia. As I have said previously, they were eligible to play in the All A tournament and they won it. They deserve to be very proud.

But I would like to know more about the Cordia situation. There are lots of allegations about people not knowing the facts, and I readily admit I don't know the facts. I know that Zeke Biallas is from the Hazard area (I believe his Mother graduated from Cordia and works in the schools in that area), and I know that Oumar Keita came from Senegal. I really would like to know more facts about the other players, including how the students/players got to Cordia, their living arrangements, and whether they are living with their parents. I hope someone will share that information.

Hahahaha..everything you just said is false! And you're on here telling other people to do research? I hope they don't use the same methods that you used. Please don't intentionally get on here and tell lies..I know that probably hard being a Knott fan.

What do you mean false? Anybody can drive up Lotts Creek and sit around and watch the players come and go from the house they live in above the old condemned gym! You can call me a liar but you can't prove me wrong!!!

Most do not live with parents, they live by themselves in a house that sits on the hill above the condemned gym! They are housed, clothed and fed on the Kentucky tax payer's back!!!
