For the record, I was wrong on Cam. I never thought he'd rise to this level. Never.

While I never dissed him in either of those thread, I never expected him to be this good. Cam has completely won me over during the last 2 seasons. I think he's just scratching the surface of what he can do, with experience he'll get more consistency and will continue to tear it up.

hate to agree with you, but yes he has.

I love reading the retweets from people 3-4 years ago like Bayless and Priscoe and how wrong they were.

 

Love reading articles written from 3-4 years ago with people saying they'd do crazy things if...doubt many follow through.

Glad that was my comment in the Bust Thread lol.

I always felt he would be ok and have a pretty good career. I never thought he'd be this good, no great. He has a set of skills that I don't think any one has ever had. Cunningham is the closest and maybe Young. They were not as big a threat running, he is every bit as good a passer as them. He is very very difficult to defend because of his skills.

 

You have to keep him contained and get him up the middle.

 

Kudos to the guy. He has worked his butt off to get to this level.

There are more misses in that first link than Andre Drummond at the free throw line.

I still remember calling him "Scam Newton" when I drafted him in Fantasy Football a few years ago. I'm glad he is succeeding now. And doing it with style.

Do not, I repeat, do not leave the TV with the Panthers on offense in the Super Bowl. Watching Cam against Ware and Miller and the rest of the Broncos DL will be something special to see.

To be fair, he had a checkered past in college, both on and off the field. We all knew he had great size but questioned if his arm was accurate enough and whether he could stay out of trouble once he had some cash in his account (besides what his daddy got from AU). :sssh:

Wasn't the stolen computer issue he had at Florida the only red flag in his past? I'd say that's a far cry from having a "checkered" past.

I didn't think he had the ability to read defenses. Fail on my part.

Sweet I couldnt remember what I said about him. So I was a little worried looking back. So I am glad to see I was one of the ones defending him and saying he was better than people said. Now I do admit I didn't think he would end up as great as he has though.
