Not yet...They can either move into district or if you don't move, I believe its similar to Beechwood you are able to pay tuition to attend if there is availability. Availability is based on the numbers for each grade if I'm not mistaken.

There is no such thing as reclassifying in high school sports. He will have the next 3 years to complete his high school eligibility regardless of his current age.

That's not true. Kids reclassify all the time, usually opting out of there senior year to go to college sooner. I didn't say he'd still have 4 more years of sports but he would be able to play with his buddies if he transferred and moved back to his age group.

I don't think you can "just go backwards", the example you are giving about kids doing it all the time is leaving school early, not going back a grade.

Basically a way of saying your not comparing Apples-2-apples when comparing the 2 schools and that if he wanted to he could not saying he would or should but he could make a case to stay with his age group if truly wanted. That's all.

Given you were talking about a kid currently in 9th grade and "reclassifying" to play with his 8th grade friends, I thought is was clear what we were talking about. I guess it wasn't.

Of course if the kid lived in Boyle County, they could have a judge issue an injunction to let him have 4.5 years to play 4 years of ball...
