I am not sure that I would call holding a kid back.... reclassifying.

 

I 100% agree with you, but unfortunately it happens all the time with parents trying to make there kid the next Michael Jordan.

Great to hear it will be on the radio ... And in southern Kentucky I am told there is a term specifically for holding a kid back. Seriously, I have heard about systemic "retention" and deciding what is the best year to have your kid "retained".

I feel like I am obliged to point out that Tricia Macke, in her first year coaching high school basketball, becomes not just the first woman to ever coach a boys team, but succeeds in getting to the regional final game. Win or lose, I would hope any questions about her "credentials" to coach boys basketball are put to bed.

When Calipari was hired I didn't hear anyone say it was "ridiculous" or "laughable" that he got the job.

Not to mention one Troy Houston on the Indian bench. They have a very nice team and have done a lot with a little.

HC will have their hands full, but congrats on making it to the finals. Current senior class is large and the Indians could go young next year like they did a few years back with this senior class.

Colonels up 11-9 after 1. Macke had 5 for HC but picked up 2 fouls.
