January 18, 201610 yr I will say that JimSchue was right, this defense gotten better as the year went along. Maybe a better sign for things in the future for the Steelers. They get two corners off IR who are better than what they trot out there in Blake. I hope somehow they sign Boykin, but I doubt it.
January 18, 201610 yr Peyton has no arm strength...Pats will challenge him to throw deep and he cant. This game won't be close next week.
January 18, 201610 yr Author Spindoc ... there is only one person I see in a couple posts bashing the Steelers. IMO ... I am surprised there is so little revelling in the Steelers loss.
January 18, 201610 yr Should be a good game next week NE vs Den. Brady does not win very often in Denver and Den has a great defense.

Let me rephrase then, no game talk because it turns back to Bengal lament. And I fully understand that given the slant of this board. As a Steeler fan, I think we were dangerously close to limping into an AFC championship game again only with a boost in the roster. But they didn't and now I suppose I'll settle for the experts suggesting who they should take with the 25th overall pick.
January 18, 201610 yr It would be poetic if by some miracle Peyton managed to win it all. I can't see that happening. For the record, I think the Bengals are better than the Broncos
January 18, 201610 yr I look forward to both games next week, should be fun to watch. With the injuries I am surprised the Steelers were in control most of the game. Good luck Broncos I am no Broncos fan or Patriots hater but will root for the Broncos next week, and the Cardinals. I would like to see Manning make another Super Bowl and still hope the best for Palmer.

For the record, I think the Bengals are better than the Broncos I can't see it happening either but would like to see it. I would also like to see him retire if it does and ride off into the sunset.
January 18, 201610 yr The Steelers problem that I have observed the last few weeks has been their Red Zone offense. They just don't score enough TD's. The Bengals actually stayed close both games they lost because of this. The Broncos did also. However, the Steeler defense did the same. The Steelers moved the ball down the field then kicked field goals. That will get you in the end and it did. I kept telling my wife that the Steelers were controlling the game and they would win unless they turned it over. Well.... Big Ben is the 3rd best QB in the league after Brady and Rodgers. He proved that again tonight. The Steelers have unbelievable speed on offense, even without AB and LB

January 18, 201610 yr I think Ben is a total stud, but better than Cam Newton?? Have to disagree there. Next 3 weeks will possibly begin to define Cam.
January 18, 201610 yr I think Ben is a total stud, but better than Cam Newton?? Have to disagree there. This is no knock on Cam, but one great season does not put him up there yet. He his the MVP this year. But I'd take the other three in a playoff game over him right now. They have proven it more than once.
January 18, 201610 yr Author I agree about the speed on the Steelers offense. Their wideouts really impressed me and the Bronco DB's had trouble staying with them all night.
