You paid what for fast food?

So I went to Fazoli's for lunch the other day. Not a regular stop for me, but go there every once in a while. They have something called ultimate spaghetti...it's just spaghetti and meatballs dressed up a little with a few mushrooms, sprinkle of bacon and a couple of small pieces of sausage...not much of that stuff in it at all, like I said it's basically spaghetti and 3 small meat balls. Anyway you can get it as a combo, with drink and a side, which can be a side salad or a slice of pizza, either or. So I get a slice of pizza with mine and a water. Get to the window...$12.39. I did a double take and said "what"? Johnny Carino's is directly across the street. I could have gone in and got a real restaurant quality Italian lunch for less than that, that would have been much better. I just can't believe some of the prices today at fast food joints.

Johnny Carino's is my absolute favorite. Fazoli's is good...occasionally.

I don't think that is what your order should cost. My kids love Fazoli's, and we go there after church about every other week. That spaghetti bowl should cost about $6.99 and for $2.50 you should be able to add either a pizza slice or salad and a drink. I can't imaging that the menu prices would vary that much from one location to another.

I go to Fazoli's about 30 times a year. I always go with one of the "main dishes" (1-9), and get a salad and drink with it for something like $11.50.

Paid $11.50 for lunch at Long John's yesterday.

I hope that came with a whale.

Nope, just a medium drink. Ordered fish (2),chicken and 3 shrimp. #3 on the board (I think). got my fries, cole slaw and hushpuppies. 8.99 + drink

As far as fast food goes, In Owensboro Five Guys is the worst when it comes to cost. Burgers are good, but I don't think they are worth what they cost. When I go I usually sick the mountain of fries that they serve with each order and just snack on the free peanuts while I'm waiting for my burger.

The items on the menu pass the cost test when you look at them. I'ts the $2.00 soda that kills you.

Almost $9.00 at Wendy's last night for a double cheese, small fries and a diet Coke.

JC is great. Love those skillet dinners. But it isn't fast food.

Fazoli's borders on nasty; especially the one as you're coming into the northeast side of Lexington on US 68.

I don't drink sodas so I don't buy a combo. I go the value menu route with a water. It saves me a lot when I do go to a fast food restaurant.

No more Cokes for me...water, occasionally I get a tea and order a water as well, sip just a little bit of the tea while I eat and throw the rest away, drinking the water. But still, even if you order water with the combo they still charge you drink price.

that is why I don't order the combo.

$7.49(includes drink) for the "box" at Raising Cane's today in Florence. Have tried 4 other times to get there and the traffic was nuts. Finally today I had a lot of time to kill and decided to go to drive-thru. Florence cops still there directing restaurant traffic and it took about 35 minutes to get my order.

It's fast food. You know the price when you order it. Not sure how you can be surprised by it.
