Probably because he will have a QB that can fit his system, and you don't have to have complete studs to make the offense good. Also he has a runningback that fits his system really well in Hyde. Now will that team be able to stop anybody? Probably not.

Thought the 49ers were happy with Gabbert as the QB. Atleast the two guys he has in SFO are better than what he had in Philly and he still won 10 games there.

Common misconception with Chip is that he wants a fast, scrambling QB. He was asked about it many times in Philadelphia and he explained each time that he rather have a good passer. Its not just him, you need someone who can pass first in his offense. Being able to make your reads and complete quick and accurate passes is more important then being able to gain yards on QB option keepers.
