Its not just him, you need someone who can pass first in his offense. Being able to make your reads and complete quick and accurate passes is more important then being able to gain yards on QB option keepers.

 

What would you expect him to say in Philly. It's not like he is going to say these are not the qbs I would want for this offense but I will try to make it work lol

I agree. As far as I'm concerned he's a college coach. He should go back to what he's good at.

For those that don't follow the Eagles, Chip is an odd duck. Oregon, secluded in the northwest was the perfect destination for him. He also loved his time in New Hampshire.

 

In college, you have some decent parts and the system can work. In the NFL, you have some decent parts, you best be sure you have some great parts to go along with it since it is a play maker league. Kelly was rumored to covet the Navy job if their coach was to leave.

I think its hard to say he is not a good NFL Coach. Now is he bad at being in charge of player decisions and stuff no. However people act like he failed as an NFL coach and that is not true. The man when 10 and 6 his first two seasons in the NFL. His second season even though they missed the playoffs they did go 10 and 6, and usually that is good enough to make it. So its not like his team had a bad year during his second season. The only year where he didn't do well was this year. So he actually is currently a winning coach in the NFL with only one bad year on his resume.

That doesn't sound like a description of Kaepernick. Sounds more like Alex Smith, coincidentally.

I would term this as an interesting hire. Not sure if it will work or not. I am still in the camp that Chip can coach but is not a good GM. We will see. If ANYONE can salvage Kaep's career, it is Chip. It at least makes SF more interesting next season.
