I thought that Clark done what he was supposed to do with Crawford. Wear him down. Crawford is a legitimate solid basketball player, he is going to get his regardless. It's about how hard you make him work to get his. He has to play the entire game, and when games are close and his motor has been running non stop for four quarters, the rim may start to shrink a tad bit. I felt like he missed some clutch free throws that could have put them within distance of a much closer game after the 2 minute mark.

 

I am anxious to see them play on a neutral court. I don't think it will be this close. And when they come to Paris, that home cooking in the igloo goes out the window.

 

I'm not a Bracken fan, but good grief.

Bracken's supporting cast has played quite well of late. Last night was the first time they played a team with the athleticism of Paris. That was a big factor.

 

as far as "home cooking"... I'm pretty sure Paris had starters on the bench with 2 fouls in the first quarter and BC was in the bonus with 2 minutes or so left.

Game over. Paris to good. In a league of their own. Nice job on the road in a hostile environment.

Based on this weeks BGP rankings the #2 team beat the #9 team.

He has a good cast around him. Just have not been consistant this season so far. Hopefully they get it together for the 2nd half of the season.

 

Agreed, but it seems to me like the supporting cast has improved. Jacob Hamilton is a solid player and Kolton Williams has been playing better of late. I think they are getting there, but not quite there yet.

For those who keep throwing out this "home cooking". If you truly believe that, them take the time and effort to file a complaint with KHSAA. Make sure you have the evidence to support your claim.

Agreed on Williams and Hamilton. Would love to see Jones come out of his shell as well as Lippert. Engnes is probally their best defender would also like to see him be more consistant on the offensive end.

"Home cooking" is part of the game. Nothing to file a complaint about. Everyone who knows sports knows that typically the home team will get the advantage on close calls. And when you have a good player, they typically get more calls than everyone else. It doesn't matter, the Hounds still walked away with a double digit win with the adversity.

So, only when fans from the Paris side of the gym were screaming at the officials, were the calls questionable. I guess when fans from the other side of the gym were screaming at the officials, they were just out of their mind

My take from the broadcast was that this game was considerably closer than the final score indicates. Probably more like a 6-8 point game.

 

The 10th is a bit down this year and the gap between #1 and #10 is pretty small.

Bracken started fouling with 2 minutes left in the game to extend the game out but unfortunately for the Polar Bears, Paris was knocking them down at the line.

Crawford is a fine player as are many of the other kids on this team.....16, 17 & 18 year old kids. As I have said in other threads let's not be too critical of their efforts or judgement. I'd say they were much more disappointed with the loss than any of us BGP "experts".

Crawford is easily one of the top players in the Region, seems like in every game he always gets his which is important for Bracken Co. It just seems like the supporting cast around him struggles to show up when they play the top 4-5 teams in the region. That being said if they can all put it together they could win a game or 2 in the regional tourney this year.

Ball handling skills allowed him to b fouled down the stretch...yung man is small but he's learning how to use that to his advantage.

Sounded like Marcus Ashford had a heck of a 2nd half. He hit a slew of free throws in the final few minutes of the game. Haven't had a chance to see him this year, but I hope to watch him soon.

It didn't look like he had that many. I am just surprised that he won't man up and shoot the ball when the game is on the line. He had plenty of chances to take the game over but he won't do it.
