Jesse James Posted January 11, 2016 Posted January 11, 2016 As 2015 leaves us with alot of controversy 2016 is sure to not disappoint. How did we get to where we are today? At present we have several countries in the Middle East in war with ISIS who wants a Muslim Caliphate. Millions have been displaced and currently we have a refugee crisis that has not been seen for quite sometime.Did I mention they want to kill Americans more than anything also? We have a former US Olympian Bruce Jenner, walking around in a dress as now Kaitlyn Jenner. We have both Republicans and Democrats that have drawn a line in the sand and will not listen to anything the other says. We have North/South Korea again on edge. The US today flew a B52 over South Korea to make sure they(North Korea) understand we are still around after the latest nuke/hydrogen bomb test. We have a rancher from Nevada in Oregon occupying a federal outpost protesting a sentence that was unjust on another rancher in Oregon. We have Black Lives Matters protests ongoing at several different spots. We have college students needing safe zones( enough said). The LGBT movement is full force ahead. Shootings. We have grade school, theater, workplace, military base, churches, Paris etc on a daily basis. One side screams gun control, the other we need more guns. Presidential candidates are under investigation and nobody cares. Trump is and has never been a politician and yet his following is enormous. He brags about his wealth. Did I say he brags about his wealth? Yet he still leads when everyone said he would be gone by now. Our border is open for business. Illegal business as in immigration and we have laws to protect that yet we have officials who choose not to enforce the laws on the books for our national safety and turn a blind eye. They ignore sanctuary cities where the mayors decide to make their own laws and go against what the Federal laws state and the Federal government ignores that but jails a clerk over not issuing a licence that she feels that causes her to sin by the very Bible the Politicians swear into office to, yet they ban that same book in our schools? This folks is where we are like or or not. Whats your solution to fix all this and where do we start?
Voice of Reason Posted January 11, 2016 Posted January 11, 2016 Your list is too short. It was just as long and troublesome last year, and the year before and every year before that. The same is true looking ahead. There are no easy solutions. Each problem has its own set of challenges and possible solutions. We can take these problems one at a time and discuss how to handle them but there isn't one solution for even two of them, let alone all of them.
mcpapa Posted January 11, 2016 Posted January 11, 2016 The LGBT movement is full force ahead. And this is one of those big problems...why?
bballfamily Posted January 11, 2016 Posted January 11, 2016 And this is one of those big problems...why? As the acceptance of perversion increases and morality declines, your nation declines as well.
Jesse James Posted January 11, 2016 Author Posted January 11, 2016 As the acceptance of perversion increases and morality declines, your nation declines as well. Thats my point @mcpapa. Just because people deny facts, that still has no bearing on whether they are true or not.

Feel free to add to them.
Jesse James Posted January 11, 2016 Author Posted January 11, 2016 And this is one of those big problems...why? I asked for solutions, not questions. Are you are retired lawyer?
UKMustangFan Posted January 11, 2016 Posted January 11, 2016 One of, if not the biggest problem....People think their values, thoughts, and opinions are universally shared. What's a "problem" for some isn't for others. Without acknowledging that, no real problem will ever be solved.

And I am being serious. No button pushing.
UKMustangFan Posted January 11, 2016 Posted January 11, 2016 Then how do we get by that? Whats your solution? Im trying to learn something. And I am being serious. No button pushing. By simply realizing that the values and opinions you (general, not you specifically) hold aren't universal, and not trying to press them upon others.
Jesse James Posted January 11, 2016 Author Posted January 11, 2016 By simply realizing that the values and opinions you (general, not you specifically) hold aren't universal, and not trying to press them upon others. Ok UKMustangfan has given his solution whats everyone else think?
Pioneer.Pride Posted January 11, 2016 Posted January 11, 2016 Elect Trump President, with a mandate so strong, those idiots in Congress can't oppose him!
doubledeuce Posted January 11, 2016 Posted January 11, 2016 So, if everyone does not agree it is a problem, then it isn't a problem?
UKMustangFan Posted January 11, 2016 Posted January 11, 2016 Ok UKMustangfan has given his solution whats everyone else think? I did no such thing. I stated the biggest problem we face today is that people expect others to see things from their perspective. An example: You think gays and the LGBT movement is a problem. A large number of people view it as positive. When you lump something like that in with real actual problems, the discussion shuts down before it ever begins.

When you lump something like that in with real actual problems, the discussion shuts down before it ever begins. Then what is your opinion on how we fix the rest? You should take some of your own advice about not trying to push your own thoughts on others. Like I said above, just because you/me or anyone else 'thinks' something is right or wrong does not make that so. By the way you are doing in this thread exactly what you say the problem is.
