January 10, 201610 yr Who would be your choice to replace him? Hue Jackson? Jon Gruden? Tom Coughlin? I would go real hard after Bill Cowher.
January 10, 201610 yr You don't like Cowher? I do. Can't see him coaching there. Maybe I'm wrong. He's needs a special OC, because that is his glaring shortcoming.
January 10, 201610 yr Cowher ain't coming back to coach the Bengals. Cowher has been out too long. I don't think he wants to coach again or he would have already and I don't want a guy who has been out that long. I would be OK with any of the three listed. Coughlin may be the kind of guy the Bengals need to instill some discipline - sort of like Forrest Gregg about 100 years ago.
January 10, 201610 yr The Bengals would have to be a pretty appealing job. I'd start with They screwed up when they let Zim go.
January 10, 201610 yr For this team at this time, I like Jon Gruden. All I beg above all else is that it is not Paul Alexander.
January 10, 201610 yr Mike Zimmer. Let's keep it real. I don't see anyone that is currently a head coach, especially one having success, leaving their current job for this one.
January 10, 201610 yr Who would be your choice to replace him? Hue Jackson? Jon Gruden? Tom Coughlin? I would go real hard after Bill Cowher. Jerome Bettis once said that the only job Cowher was interested in coming back to was the New York Giants. There are message board rumors that he's interested in that job, but no legit sources have said anything and he publicly says he's not interested in coaching. My point is, I doubt he'd come back to coach Cincinnati.
January 10, 201610 yr Coughlin might turn the Bengals in to a super bowl contender. He is 70 years old though.
January 10, 201610 yr No established head coach will come and work for Mike Brown, because they'd want some control over their destiny; and since none of them will be named Brown, they are getting any control. Cower, Gruden--You're dreaming. IF, and that's a huge IF, Lewis were to go; they'd likely hire another coordinator looking to move to the head job.
January 10, 201610 yr Coughlin might turn the Bengals in to a super bowl contender. He is 70 years old though. Interesting thought. Coughlin's rep is as a tough disciplinarian, although he appears to be softer now especially when you look at the antics of Beckham.
