Never would have thought of the RINO Christie as the Establishment Candidate...but then again they are all RINOs now any way.
January 6, 201610 yr I hate the term RINO. Just because one does not fit into a bucket you want does not make them a RINO . There are a lot of choices that aren't my first because certain candidates fit me better. But just because someone doesn't , doesn't make them less a republican.
January 6, 201610 yr Author He's more establishment the Trump or Cruz. Rubio is flat and Bush is dead in the water. Christie has a chance in NH, and that has been big in GOP primaries in recent elections.

January 7, 201610 yr I love that you are telling people like me how Republican elections work. Even though you and I rarely agree, I find you to be the one on BGP from the right that I read your opinion on such things as the candidates. Who do you see coming out on top by after the first two states? Will Bush ever gain momentum? What about your boy Paul? (BTW, did you see Paul on The Late Show last night?
January 7, 201610 yr Christie is a non-starter for me. Christie would be one of the very few R's that I would seriously consider. Seems like the type that could work with both sides.

January 7, 201610 yr Remember that national polls mean nothing as far as who gets the nomination. The following lead on Jan 7th: 2004 Dean +4 2008 HRC +8 2008 Huckabee +0.7
January 7, 201610 yr Two or three analysts on Fox News' Sunday morning program predicted a three-way race in November: If Trump gets the nomination, the establishment Republicans will field an alternative candidate. Similarly, if an establishment candidate gets the nod, Trump will make an independent run. Just yesterday, the Washington Post quoted Carson's former campaign director as saying that he doesn't see anyone derailing Trump.
January 7, 201610 yr Just like everyone said, Trump going away. Reuters Polling It's still early. I am not saying that he is 100% going to fall to 2nd or lower, but he still might. Plus with the RNC wanting to stop him. But, we will see by the end of summer.
