He flipped the bird, he just needs to own up to it.

 

The rest I don't have a problem with.

I think if he admitted to it, most Cardinal Fans would love it and see it as their coach sticking it to Kentucky fans...I don't understand why he just doesn't own this, maybe even sell t-shirts with his silhouette flying the bird.

 

After all Cardinals are Birds!

If Pitino is saying he did not flip off the fans, I would say he has lost all credibility, but since IMO he had no credibility before he flipped off the fans, he did not have any to lose...

The fact that he can't or won't own up to flipping the bird, makes me question his credibility as much as he is questioning madam Powells. Not that I wouldnt question his or her credibility anyway on that topic though.

 

That said, UL is a PR mess right now. They can't seem to do anything right. But on the other hand they are doing a great job of getting it all wrong.

Really he's not. UofL isn't going to do anything to him for it...they wouldn't reprimand him if he was caught snorting coke off of a dead goat on center court of the Yum Center during half time of a Women's game.

For the last few years Pitino has struck me as a man who is in desperate need of intense therapy.

 

The whole denial of the bird flip is symptomatic of a man who is in denial of many things and he has used deceit as his coping mechanism. The tragedy that has followed him (some self inflicted and some not) is weighing him down IMO.
