Mtown1995 Posted December 29, 2015 Posted December 29, 2015 You are given the opportunity to write, direct, and shoot a 30 for 30 for ESPN telling one story from the history of the 10th Region, which topic do you pick and why?
RoyalWildcat Posted December 29, 2015 Posted December 29, 2015 Mason County either 2002-2004 (Lofton's junior and senior year), or from 2007-2008 (Miller's senior year).
LionEagle Posted December 29, 2015 Posted December 29, 2015 I would do it on Lofton's high school career and how he didn't get the chance to play for UK so he torched the Cats for the next 4 years at UT
LionEagle Posted December 29, 2015 Posted December 29, 2015 Or Chris Harrison from the old Tollesboro High School in the early 90s. Averaged nearly 50 ppg and played at UK for four years.
OpieTaylor Posted December 29, 2015 Posted December 29, 2015 10th Region Tourney: If the Fieldhouse walls could talk.
sumoroyal Posted December 29, 2015 Posted December 29, 2015 I would do one on Mike Murphy and what he meant to the school, young people and the community.
Mtown1995 Posted December 29, 2015 Author Posted December 29, 2015 Or Chris Harrison from the old Tollesboro High School in the early 90s. Averaged nearly 50 ppg and played at UK for four years. The 1991 Region with Harrison, Myrick and Johnson at Maysville, and Fogel at Harrison would've been my choice, the Mike Rietz saga lol.
Randy Parker Posted December 29, 2015 Posted December 29, 2015 I think the Bach/Augusta story would appeal to a larger audience. Super small school, two wins over Mason County, two District titles, and there's that picture of Bach & George Clooney that would give the story a Hollywood angle.
Randy Parker Posted December 29, 2015 Posted December 29, 2015 I think the Maysville final game/consolidation with Mason County would appeal to a lot of 10th Region die hards. Also, the Montgomery County triumph over Mason County in 1995 would be very interesting to me.
Randy Parker Posted December 29, 2015 Posted December 29, 2015 Mason/GRC would be a good rivalry that could be explored.
Jack of all Trades Posted December 29, 2015 Posted December 29, 2015 How about the year tiny little Brossart shocked the world and won the 10th region and then went to Rupp and won their first game to get to the quarterfinals.
OpieTaylor Posted December 29, 2015 Posted December 29, 2015 The experiences of Danny Weddle from WFTM radio.
Mustang Posted December 29, 2015 Posted December 29, 2015 Being a private school and earning the respect and accepatance of the 10th Region hardliners after being realigned to the 10th Region from the 9th Region in 1996. Some may contend that this has never completely happened, but we feel that it has. I do know that we had (and continue) to work hard at it, and I never take it for granted.
