December 29, 201510 yr HFD Patrick Wolterman Dies in Fire Surprised there hasn't been a thread on this yet. Just incredibly sad. Newly married, new on the job. HAMILTON - On Christmas Eve, a family celebrated here. Early Monday morning, while flames and smoke billowed out of the two-story home, a young Hamilton firefighter raced inside to try to find the elderly couple that was said to be inside. In a very short time, firefighters called for a “mayday” after Patrick Wolterman, only eight months on the job, fell through a floor and into the basement. His death was reported not long after.
December 29, 201510 yr Very sad. Prayers to this young man and his family/friends and to all of his fellow firefighters.
December 29, 201510 yr Saw this yesterday on the news, very sad. Thoughts and prayers for him and his family. I have so much respect for firefighters and the selfless way they do such a dangerous job.
December 29, 201510 yr Fire Fighters are some of the bravest people in any profession, it is a great loss anytime one of them is lost in the line of duty. Hopefully the pride the family has for this young mans sacrifice will help with the pain and anguish in their hearts. Rest easy Fire Fighter
January 4, 201610 yr Fire has been ruled an arson, thus his death is now a homicide. Homeowners were out of town, correct?
January 5, 201610 yr Homeowners were out of town, correct? I heard from someone that the homeowners previously had another property burn down in the past when they were out of town. Either 1) someone hates them 2) they have terrible luck with houses and fires or 3) they are involved somehow.
January 5, 201610 yr 4) They sneaked back, set the fire, went back to wherever and used the out of town alibi.
January 5, 201610 yr 4) They sneaked back' date=' set the fire, went back to wherever and used the out of town alibi.[/quote'] This your guess, or is this what really happened?
January 5, 201610 yr This your guess, or is this what really happened? I think he's just adding to my list of possibilities from the post above.
January 5, 201610 yr First of all, a tragedy to lose a fire fighter. Hits close to home, my dad was a fire fighter for 21 years. Secondly, either that couple has the worst luck in the world, or they are trying to commit fraud.
