I am surprised because I had heard that Shannon was very bitter about his treatment at UK, and was probably going to take some time away from the game, maybe working in his Father's business. Of course, he would have still been on UK's payroll. I am not so sure, but he probably let UK off the hook by taking the Southern Miss job. Anyone know specifics to his contract termination by UK?

Assuming he is making less at S Miss, this does let UK off the hook for the full amount.

Would love to know what that contract with Southern Miss is for. He absolutely knew what he was doing when he took the job. If he did something like "small" xxxxxx amount of dollars with a bonus for beating UK I'd laugh my butt off.
