August 6, 200620 yr Majewski has an 11.00+ ERA as a Red... They keep saying he has been over used these last 2 years. Why don't they sit him down for a little bit. Put him on the 15 day DL.
August 6, 200620 yr Meanwhile the fast charging Dodgers score 6 runs in the 7th against the Marlins and take a 7-3 lead into the 8th. If things stay the way they are, the Dodgers will be within 1 game of the Reds in the Wild Card.
August 6, 200620 yr First pitch ground out. Baseball guy knows what hes doing. And here come the 2nd guessers.
August 6, 200620 yr They keep saying he has been over used these last 2 years. Why don't they sit him down for a little bit. Put him on the 15 day DL. With Mercker apparently ready to come back off the DL, I think it is a good idea to get him some kind of break combined with some appearances at L'ville to get him on the right track.
August 6, 200620 yr They keep saying he has been over used these last 2 years. Why don't they sit him down for a little bit. Put him on the 15 day DL. Did he have to take a physical before signing with the Reds? If not, then maybe he should have one. He definately needs some rest or a reassignment until he figures out what the problem is.
August 6, 200620 yr I think Bray throws with the ball on a string!! His breaking ball looks like a wiffle ball coming to the plate. Just plain "Nasty". He also gets my vote for the best looking uniform. I wish the Reds would make all the players wear their pants up to show the "Red Leg's". Some of the uni's in MLB look horrible.
August 6, 200620 yr It was HOT at the park today! If Majewski could just get a ground ball at someone instead of finding the open spaces, he'd be fine. I do think he'll be on the DL to make room for Mercker or Belisle soon. Also, if the Pen can't start getting the first guy they face out, there is more trouble ahead...
August 6, 200620 yr Per Lancaster... Narron said postgame that Cormier and Weathers were deemed unavailable today because of frequent use lately, and Guardado would only be used in a save situation. "You just can’t keep running them out there," said Narron. "You’ve got to try to do your best sometimes with the guys that are available to you." So the eighth inning was going to be all Majewski's. As for Majewski's comments on the matter...there weren't any. He bolted from the clubhouse as soon as the media walked in.
August 6, 200620 yr Marty has said the guy is beating himself up something awful. He might need a break.
August 6, 200620 yr Per Lancaster... . As for Majewski's comments on the matter...there weren't any. He bolted from the clubhouse as soon as the media walked in. I'm disappointed to hear that. Majewski needs to learn to be a man, and answer the tough questions.
August 6, 200620 yr I'm disappointed to hear that. Majewski needs to learn to be a man, and answer the tough questions. What does it matter? Does anything change if he says what we already know? He's wild in the strike zone, and giving up ground balls to open spaces. And Lancaster was wrong on one thing. Coffey was up and ready for the entire inning...
August 6, 200620 yr It was nice to see Lohse keep the ball down today. He has great stuff when he's down in the zone, and that was quite evident this afternoon...

August 6, 200620 yr It shows that he's not going to run and hide when the going gets tough. That's nothing more than fan speak. I'm sure he felt bad for what went down, and didn't have much nice to say about himself...
