Things like this make me wonder why he would put bray in? I guess every day Eddie needs a rest?

Nice stroke by McCann. That was a tough pitch to hit...

Bray has flat out nasty stuff. Good guys win...

Great effort by Ross.

He was overheard yelling, "Eat your heart out, Derek Jeter" as he was running toward the camera well.

Good win today, and it looks like that day off did BP some good. Keep the pressure on the Cards and everyone behind in the WC race. :thumb:

Oh yeah: Take that, Braves! :fire:

Good point Jim. Dunn and BP combine for a 4-7 day with 3 HR 6 RBI and 4 runs. Stupid Baseball Guy... ;)

 They said he had some extra bounce in his step in batting practice.

If he tries to lay down a bunt again with a runner on 2nd and one out, while hitting out of the #4 spot, they may start to become rare. ;)

:thumb: You are so right. That was not a wise choice. I wonder if he was on his own or someone else made the call.

BP goes yard. 6-3 Good Guys...

Great adjustment at the plate. On the previous pitch BP looked as he never saw a baseball in his life and the next pitch he takes it deep. That is why I like Phillips, most players would still be pouting about the bad swing and then take the next one down the middle of the plate for strike three. Phillips had enough discipline to make the adjustment.

And that, my friends, is why Junior doesn't bunt more often...

I actually thought he was going to beat it out. I give him credit though, he almost caught them off guard but I hate to take the bat out his hands like that.

I bet he eats ice cream for supper tonight after taking one in the chops late in the game.

To add to what GT said earlier regarding this: I was listening to the pre-game show on the radio, and Marty and Steve were discussing Freel's sitting out today. They said he "looked like he had been in a car wreck," in reference to him being bruised up, and that Freel said he was "sore all over."

I love Freel as much as anyone and wish he could play 162 games, but I have learned to accept that when you're diving all over the place and crashing into walls full-speed like he does, you're gonna need a few days off here and there to heal so that minor injuries don't turn into major ones.

:thumb: Good post Jim, Freel plays at one speed all the time and plays each game like it is his last one.
