Didn't they move O'Hara to corner near the end of last year? Was that a temporary move? Him and Cooper Sheer could be the largest set of corners in the state next year.

He is an athlete he can play on both sides of the ball. Engler typically does not like to have kids go both ways so I guess they will have to make a decision. I see him as another valuable weapon outside with Ashley. With Morgan, Ashley, Chisholm, and O'Hara, Long to take care of the middle, that offense will be hard to stop next year.

Hendrix with a decent qb will be unstoppable once again

 

The Backup QB, for Cooper, this year didn't have a lot of reps at varsity but believe he will surprise a lot of next year - Jared Loniker. He has a good arm and can lead his throws well. Not as elusive a runner as Nathan Brown was when scrambling but is a tougher runner north and south.

 

I get a feeling with him throwing we will be hearing about Hendrix starring as receiver alot next year....

For HC, Derrick Barnes for sure heard.Heard he was offered a scholarship by Indiana. And if he can recover Xavier Abernathy will be a machine. That's if he can fully recover.

Freshman Kicker Molique will likely be the best kicker returning in NKY next season. High likelihood of Ryle having the next 3 years with KO's in the end zone and no return opportunities. Huge in HS football.

I agree, Union may have the two best kickers in the area next year honestly. Molique is a special talent and Hollifield at Cooper is a darn good kicker as well. I know Hollifield has been getting some D1 LOOKS, not scholarship offers, but looks are still looks. I would imagine the young man from Ryle will be garnering attention soon as well.

There is a young man playing basketball for Cooper this year that is a freshman who decided not to play football this past season. He played for the Union Jags in Middle School and was a talent to watch at QB. I believe his last name is Walters. If he decides to come back out I could see him get the starting nod at QB next year for the Cooper Jags.

There must be some really talented kickers in NKY right now. I've not seen anyone with a leg quite as good as Highlands kicker Nick Bowman at the freshman level. He will be the varsity kicker for the next 3 years. In freshman last year he must've kicked 90+% of his kickoffs into the endzone and numerous long FG's.

 

Having a really good kicker can make the difference in those close games.

Wow,, if that were to happen it would be a huge blow to that program. I read on another thread about the issues with the Ryle team this past season. I wonder if that is playing a part in the decision if this is true.
