Per an instagram post floating around, Bummed to hear about Will Parks (SK RB - 2018) ACL surgery, likely to miss season. Really good player. I hope he recovers for a solid Senior season. Good Luck young man !!

 

He had a pretty serious leg injury as an 8th grader. Hopefully he can get healthy for his senior year. He's a hard runner and hard to tackle....plays much bigger than his size (not that he's small).

I did see highlands last year and he might have thrown more interceptions than any quarterback in NKY. He got his D-1 offer before the season even started. The same thing happened with pike he couldn't read a defense at all. I watch pike throw 5 interception in the second half against NCC and give that game away. Both had the size but it was all on potential. I dont have the stats but i would bet there was at least 5 quarterbacks in NKY with better stats than Highlands quarterback.

I think your actually helping make my point. Pike was a good high school QB (not as good as Towles - Clyde, I don't think he's talking about Pat here). If Pike had a better surrounding cast he would have put up better stats. Just because he burned up in college - that had nothing to do with his talent. As far as last years highlands QB I would say he was excellent and one of the better players in nky. If you saw highlands play, his surrounding cast was also weak (for Highlands!). He also had a new head coach. Would the D1 colleges passing on "better" QB's last year? No - he was the best talent they felt. And like I mentioned - I trust their studies opinions about who the best players in nky are

There are a few players on Scotts O-Line that are going to be good ones. Everyone on that line is a returning varsity starter and they will block well for Nelson and the other backs just like they did last year. This group will be lead by seniors Gage Tucker #71, Jason Bosse #55, Ryan Bowers #8, and juniors Nelson Perrin #7, and Seth Yeary #69.

 

Gage Tucker #71 has been offered his first scholarship from Union College.
