The top 26 isn't necessarily done based on football achievement. Classroom and community are also a consideration I believe.

Top 26 are for seniors. All NKY teams are for anyone playing varsity football.

For the TOP 26 I am pretty sure each school in NKY gets one player selected who the coach picks. Then the remaining 6 players are nominated and voted upon by the NKY Head Coaches. So, 6 lucky teams will get two players selected.
