That's one team I wouldn't want to see BG play.. They played great ball to end the year, but, Male would beat those guys by 30 points or more, 9 of 10 times, 40 or more 3 times, 50 or more 2 times, they'd play them within 20 maybe 1 time.. Just way to bid a talaent differential

 

I usually agree most of your post but not on this one saying they would beat BG 30 or more 9/10 times. Think you might be looking at ST. X score to much. I thought Lafayette competed with Male for most part of the game and I believe BG is better than Lafayette. BG secondary would keep em in the game and at any time could score a pick 6.. Male is the best team by far but just don't see it being that lopsided.

I dont care if we lost quite a bit more, I want BG to be in 6A. To be the best you got to beat the best. We have 4 titles in 5 yrs. I would enjoy pursuing being "The" team vs best in class. Wont happen but would love to see it. Not to memtion I miss playing T, love the X fans and our series with them, and Male has amazing school colors and logo.

Just saw where these BG seniors played at WKU 7 times in their careers and won all 7 times and brought home 3 State Championships! Very impressive!

Yes. The Rafferty's Bowl is usually played there to open the season.

Oh, I wanted to tell you that I got to meet Coach Jay Fallin as I was walking into the BG game. He and several members of his staff there there in the 1st half and had a very good chat. He is a class guy. Owensboro is in good hands! :thumb:

I also think OHS-BG should stop playing in the regular season since they are both 5A and are most likely going to meet up in the regional championship most years.

I get what you are saying, but I love that regular season game. It's got a lot of history and it a very competitive game most of the time. Going on the road to either place can really help you regardless if you win or not. Plus, BG has such a hard time getting teams to play them being able to have a usually good team like Owensboro on the schedule is really good for both teams IMO.

PA, that's why you go BEFORE the game, so you can enjoy it and then if you have to be sick afterwords it won't interfere as much.

I've forgotten what that's like lol. I can't complain. We didn't get it done against BG when I played either. Quinten Woods and Robert Reynolds were beasts!

 

I'll tell you whats better than Owensboro bbq. State championship t-shirts! Thank the Lort that we won the basketball title. If not, I may have went full Prince and played "Purple Rain" everyday until I went insane!
