Terrible end for a great horse.

 

After the San Antonio Stakes and Santa Anita Handicap at the beginning of this year, I'd hoped we were primed for something great from this horse in his four year old season. That San Antonio Stakes win was particularly impressive as he absolutely ran past California Chrome in the final stretch and left the Clark Handicap winner, Hoppertunity, in his dust.

 

Again, a very sad end to a great career cut short.
