OK I've defended Pulaski a lot the last few weeks :puke: But I agree, they do seem to over do it sometimes on the patches. I'd think the fact that they won the State Championship last year would have been the only patch from last season that they would have needed.

 

A few years ago when Pulaski for the first time in several years beat Somerset and Southwestern in the same season they put "County Champs" patches on their jackets...they do love their patches across town. Then may have done it again when they beat Southwestern and Southwestern beat Somerset, thus making Pulaski the "County Champs" again. :no:

 

As far as controversy for the team, no one around here is even talking about that tweet...most don't even know about it.

I don't think it's ever good form for a head coach to mention a player from another team by name unless it's a positive.

I just took a swag when I saw the patch, but to have it confirmed...wow.

 

Pretty sure HHS puts the patch, shaped like the State of Kentucky, with the State Champion information. Don't recall if they list Regional or not...but with 26 State Championships, it's hard to say...

I have known Hines a long time and have followed PC football since the dark days. I am positive, that Hines meant nothing derogatory to the young man from Highlands. He has had nothing but positive things to say about Highlands program, coaches, and players before the game and after. I believe he was just praising his own QB.
