To all the SK Seniors it was a great 4 years of watching you play for the Pioneers you all are great players and great kids very proud of the Pioneers.

 

Simon does have an excellent program but they definitely need to schedule up a little more.

 

That's how I feel about it. I think that on paper they have the pieces in place, I think they need to up their game schedule wise to prep them for games against the kind of teams that they will need to beat for a title.

 

Of the big schools in NKY I do think that SK is the closest.

 

Unless they're playing the bigs from Louisville, or Cincinnati then this will always be the line when SK loses.

Not surprised with this one. SK is a good team, it's just the cupcake schedule hurts in the end. But they have something to look forward to........ The McRib is back...... Haha

 

It's too bad SK can't drop Boone and Campbell County. Maybe drop Dixie, Scott or the 2a team they opened up with. Will SK play Highlands again next year?

That is a pretty broad brush to say no lexington schools have class, i was at the game and i thought it was hard played game by both teams ,each team showed class and good sportsmanship on the field.

All I can say about this is..... Don't put the visiting team on the same side as the home fans. You are only asking for trouble, from either sour fans or in some cases sour teams. SK has done this for a long time and I have always thought it was crap. They try to intimidate teams and when it goes wrong and they lose the first home game in years they want to cry about it. If SK had some class they would change the sideline problem, not whine about it. :(

I believe the coaches let it get out of hand. The coaches and players where standing where the cheerleaders stand. The cheerleaders couldn't even cheer.

I feel like the Majority of schools choose to have their sideline on the opposite side of the main bleachers. So I think you are wrong on this topic.

If only you heard the things the players said to the SK cheerleaders. As well as the heavy white bald coach from LHS. I was shocked.

I don't think I am, whenever I see a visiting team on the bleacher side. It is when both fans are on that side.... Ryle, Cooper, highlands for instance.... Whenever there are 2 different bleachers they put the home team on the home side, and the visiting team on the visiting side. Boone, Cov Cath, Trinity. Just examples but that is how I see it.

Something about sticks and stones I recall. Let's face it some fans are not grown ups. Put them on the correct side of the field and I think, no issue.

I just looked at the Google Maps shot of the SK stadium. It appears there are bleachers on both sides, one side considerably smaller then the other. I would assume that the smaller side is where the visiting fans are "supposed" to sit. If so wouldn't the visiting bench also be on that side of the field? I've never been to a high school stadium where the home team didn't play in front of their own fans if there are stands on both sides of the field.

 

With the way SK sets up are the SK cheerleaders on the same side of the field as the visiting team?

 

I don't condone players jawing at fans but if it happens at SK because the put the visitors bench in front of the home stands then I can certainly see how it happens.
