Ulis 6-6 from the charity stripe. The rest of the team 7-20 ouch.

How many of these misses were Lee?

This was the 1st time I've really gotten to watch the Cats play this season. A few observations...

Briscoe and Matthews are legit defenders. Really like watching both.

Ulis is outstanding.

Poythress and Skal both looked good.

Willis is still Willis. Dude has never met a shot he didn't like.

Lee is vastly improved....except at the charity stripe.

Lee went 1/4

Skal went 2/5

Briscoe went 3/7

Mathews went 1/4

I might be wrong but I don't think Briscoe was expected to do as well as he has on defense. Maybe he's really buying into Coach Cal.

Derek Willis needs to chill with the 3 pointers. He's a career 31% shooter from 3.

It seems to me Murray could take over the game at any point if he really wants to. Not sure why he doesn't force the issue a little more at times.

Lee was lucky he didn't get ejected when he pushed Dieudonne down. Probably anywhere but Rupp, he'd have been gone.

I'm just curious how many three he has taken. I would assume most of the three he has taken has came at the of games after sitting on the bench all game.

Cal took Willis out in the first half for not shooting them. Kid can't win.

Almost a punk move from Lee, I didn't really like it. I mean I love the fight and intensity but if Lee does that to the wrong one he's getting laid out. Just not sure if I like Lee in the tough guy role. He was fouled pretty hard and wrapped up but his reaction was overboard IMO.

He shoved him. That's not an ejection anywhere.

I agree that the foul was hard but it was clean, I thought. I like Lee. His reaction was out of character and thus surprising. I imagine Cal has spoken to him.

There's no ejection for a shove. Technical foul was the right call

In my opinion the shove in the back Lee received afterwards was worse.

Not trying to make this into a federal case, but does not a referee have the authority and discretion to disqualify a player for conduct he deems worthy of ejection.....for safety, sportsmanship or other reasons? I can't imagine that every possible act warranting an ejection is listed in the referee handbook or rule book.....would think there is some type of general standard that a ref could employ to eject a player. ( This is now more of a general question not so much related to Lee.)

Ref's call. However, it's very rare fir a shove to result in an ejection especially if it didn't lead to punches.
