Mitch Blewett - TMC / Covington Latin

Junior Stockwell - TMC / Boone Co.

Good to see that Mitchell Blewett is back playing again for TMC. I had no idea that he was. When he attended NKU I thought that his playing days were over.

For as young as he was as a Jr & Sr because of the accelerated program at Latin, and still leading the state in scoring his Jr year, and 2nd Place his Sr year, that was an amazing feat no matter how you look at it.

He was a standout for Latin, who yearly normally faces the tall order of being 2 years younger than their opponents, so his accomplishments were achieved when he was merely anywhere from 14-16 years old.

I'm assuming that he is now maybe an 18 year old Jr at TMC. It's a rarity that you see a Covington Latin grad continue on to play college basketball, so kudos to him for finding a place that will guarantee him a solid education all the while being able to give him the chance to shine once more on the hardwood.

The guy's a winner, and I'll be eager to follow his time playing college ball at TMC.

Centre is an interesting case -- they play in the Southern Athletic Association, a D3 conference formed by high-academic-level Southeastern liberal arts schools such as Berry, Oglethorpe, and Sewanee. Very cool arrangement.
