November 27, 201510 yr I will see this for sure. I love every Rocky, but I really, really loved Balboa and this one looks to be in the same vein. I hate the Rambo franchise, but the Rocky franchise....right up my alley. What about:
November 27, 201510 yr What about: Haven't watched that one in a long time. It was at least better than Rhinestone. I think Cobra was made around that time too, which I liked.

But I think it was Wesley Morris formerly of Grantland now with NY times I think , he said this is a weak year for Oscars and would be shocked if Stallone didn't at least get a nomination.
November 30, 201510 yr I thought it was a very good movie and thoroughly enjoyed it. Although it almost has the same exact ending as Rocky 1. I got goosebumps when he got the Stars and Stripes boxing shorts, really neat moment. Doesn't top Rocky 1 or 2, but I think it's in the top 3. Sets up very well for a Creed 2.

Those of you have seen Creed, would you recommend a refresher on the franchise prior to going to the theater? Watching Rocky 1 and 2 is always good...but you don't need to before seeing this movie. November 30, 201510 yr Now I haven't seen the movie or know when it is set, but I was doing some math in my head. Rocky IV came out in 1985 (30 year anniversary). Presumably that would be the same year Apollo was killed by Ivon Drago. Is Apollo's kid supposed to be in his early 30s in this movie, I guess?
