June 29, 200620 yr No, they are going to give up Rondo, Theo Ratliff, and possibly Al Jefferson. The deal has been in the works for a couple of weeks, and there has never been any mention of adding Green or Pierce. The only kink is trying to find a 3rd team...Maybe the Cavs, maybe the Jazz... Al Jefferson was the guy was thinking of before Green anyway. Jefferson is the more proven player. With that in mind. I see a trade of Telfair,Jefferson, Ratliff maybe Wally in a huge player deal.

However, there is no gun to their head to trade AI, my point is, I hope they are guaging the "time to rebuild / switch gears" correctly. I think they are blowing this thing up prematurely.

Free Throw shooting is probably the easiest thing in your game to fix. If a player really wants to fix it, it can be done. I'm guessing when the Celtics drafted Rondo shooting from the outside was not a major assest they were looking for in a point guard. They were probably looking for an explosive guard w ho can drive on anyone, dish, create, and defend.

I think it's fair to give Mo more than one year with this crew, especially with Iggy coming into his own. I'm not sure what Carney does for you, despite push Korver down the rotation (which is fine with me), but I think Mo deserves more than one year to work with the 2nd greatest player in Franchise History.
