November 17, 201510 yr No issues with Watt. Dalton comes off looking like a cry baby. He really lost it when he mentioned "the kids."
November 17, 201510 yr He really lost it when he mentioned "the kids." And integrity. It was an innocent joke.
November 17, 201510 yr Watt's a tool and his comment was as lame. I'm disappointed Dalton got that worked up about it too. He definitely came off looking worse. I'm sure the rest of the league is sick of Watt's finger-wagging about "doing it the right way" when he's a prime offender of the "look at me" stuff.
November 17, 201510 yr Boo hoo, Andy. Seriously, what's the big deal with this comment? "Our goal was to come out here and make the Red Rifle look like a Red Rider BB gun, and I think we did that tonight,” Watt said of Dalton, referencing the quarterback’s nickname. “He’s a great player and they’re a great team, but tonight our coaches put together a great gameplan.” Dalton didn't know the rest of what Watt said. A reporter told him about what Watt said and only told him the part about him being a bb gun. If he told Dalton the rest of what Watt said then Dalton probably doesn't say much. So give credit to the media guy because he was able to make a story out of nothing but only partially telling Dalton what Watt said.
November 17, 201510 yr Author Is it possible that Andy didn't get the reference? Blasphemy, says Randy Parker.
November 17, 201510 yr Blasphemy, says Randy Parker. Yep. Watt should have said, "We wanted Andy to shoot his eye out."
November 17, 201510 yr "We were hoping Andy would just lay there like a slug, and that's pretty much what he did."
November 17, 201510 yr "We were hoping Andy would just lay there like a slug, and that's pretty much what he did." I just spit my coffee out.
November 17, 201510 yr I have zero problem with either comment. Pretty tame in the overall scheme of things.
November 17, 201510 yr My only thought with the comment, he put it out there and needs to own it. You saw the reaction when the reporter says wow, he minds starts churning and he back pedals and starts giving compliments and saying what a great team. I thought it was kind of catchy.
