Like most games, this matchup will be determined by O and D lines. HHS has been pounding the ball as of late on offense and stopping the run on defense; Kendall and Murray have been awesome. If CCH can stop the run and force HHS to rely on the passing game then I'll take CCH for the win. However, if HHS continues to run like they have as of late, I'll take HHS for the win. I predict a close/low scoring game, 17-10 HHS.

The winner of this game has played in the title game in 16 of the previous 17 meetings with CovCath going 4-0 and Highlands 10-2. The regular season winner has won the second game in 14 of 17 matchups. In 8 of the 17 games the playoff game result didn't come close to the regular season. The second score for the examples is the playoff score: 1992 CovCath 41-21 & HHS 14-7, 1994 CovCath 42-6& 7-3, 1995 HHS 48-18 & 3-0, 2007 HHS 28-14 & 40-0, 2011 HHS 42-37 & 49-14, 2013 HHS 42-6 & 28-13 and 2014 HHS 42-7 & 37-34.

This game will come down to which offense executes better and which offense doesn't turn the ball over. Both defenses played well last meeting. Covcath had at least 3 turnovers the first game while Highlands played with high percentage completions and zero turnovers. Both teams had some key players out the first time. That being said, I believe CovCath is the better team, but in a rivalry game, throw everything out the window. The team with the fewer mistakes wins. My prediction: Covcath 21-17
