Maybe "casual" fans is more accurate. A family of five is $50. A little steep IMO.

good teams create turnovers. St. X is the hardest hitting team. that is why a lot of the turnovers are created. X punished male with good legal hitting. That is why the game was close and Male turned the ball over.

Who ever wins the turnover margin wins the game from here on out

 

I guess X needs to game plan to turn Male over 6 times to beat them the next time they play.

Hate to see either team lose this game. Either would roll any team out there with the exception of Male.

I imagine they split that, but to pay that for most year twice is unbelievable. I would love to see it played at the home teams field, wouldn't happen, but would love to see it.

As I understand it,

U of L does not charge $30,000 for the first game. They do jack it up for the playoffs. All expenses/profits are split each game, every year. The $30,000 figure is what I heard as well. I believe about $15,000 is the current going rate for the regular season game. U of L keeps all parking and all concessions for each game.

I guess when you do the math it isn't that bad. Make a little bit of money and don't have to deal with logistical headache that would come with playing it the teams home field.

I for one don't mind paying the $10 price of admission, X-T always play a close hard hitting game and the kids seem to really enjoy playing at Papa J....

The kids I know on the team right now would prefer to have the game on campus. Sell 10,000 tickets - give X 3,000 to sell at school and give T 3,000 to sell at school - put the rest on Ticketmaster and if you don't get a ticket in time, you don't get into the game. I bet it would sell out in 1 hour.

 

Save all the money from renting PJCS and put the money back into the schools. Kids really don't care about playing in that stadium anymore in front of 8,000 people.

I think it would be an AWESOME atmosphere if the playoff game were played at home sites vs. Papa Johns. Although it may be a pain for parking and administration of the game, it would be a really fun experience. I don't see it happening, though. It is easier to have it at the Pizza Place.

Way more than just playing at T or X... Why we play this game at Papa Johns is beyond me, makes no sense, the crowd is sparse at best for the playoff game, always.

I would rather sit on the St X home side than go out to Papa Johns, more than enough room.
