I'm 52 years old, what in the world have the Bengals given me over the past 30 years to make me think this year will end up differently, just because they are 8-0 at this point. Please tell me what?

 

Well 8-0 is a little different...

If only we had Matt Ryan or Andrew Luck, we'd already have 2 or 3 Super Bowl titles...

I know, let's trade Marvin for Belichick... Someone get Kraft on the phone.

How many playoff wins in that time, come on, how many? 6-10 next season when 2 of your best o lineman leave, and Dalton get's his HUGH contract extention, LOL.

Wow I guess the Patriots should be very happy all the bad years they had before they won their first super bowl, didn't have any effect on them winning it the year they did. Same with Tampa Bay, I am sure they are glad their horrible history before the Super Bowl didn't have any effect on them winning the year they won it.

 

However I guess things have changed. Now the past apparently does have a hand on how a team will do this year. Wait a second if the past did have something to do with the here and now, then how did the Bengals get to 8 and 0 since in the past they never been 8 and 0?

 

I know you are basically just wanting to get attention, and you are doing a great job of it. Its kind of like your buddy Ukfan in the high school threads. But come on you can at least come up with some better stuff than this weak stuff you are throwing out there. You are better than this, at least give us something better than this weak stuff.

Ah, I realize reality is sometimes pretty boring, but if you live in it, you'd see what I'm talking about. For you to compare this Bengals franchise to the Patriots, in itself is on the verge of pathetic as well. Let's see Bill vs. Marvin, Andy vs. Tom, um, I'll take the Pats at home by a bunch!

You forget before the Pats became the top franchise they are, they were a franchise that sucked for many years. In fact they were a team that hired a coach who had been fired from the Cleveland Browns. So yeah it seems if the past did play as much of a part on the here and now, then the Pats would have never became great. Because their past of being a horrible franchise and having a coach who also had a bad past and was fired should have stopped them from becoming a top franchise if the past played as big of a part as you like to believe.

 

The past means nothing, if it did the Bengals also wouldn't be 8 and 0.

Live in the present, learn from the past. Compare the Bengals organization as a whole from this year to 10 years ago. No comparison. They're up and coming and those who are annually at the top and getting older are worried.

 

The Pats won't be chit after Brady retires.

The Bronco's are lucky they have a really good defense or they'd be 4-4.

I guess it could be worse. I have a retired guy on my site that DVRs all of UCs opponents and on each game week goes over the DVR and devises a game plan for UC. Then if the UC coaches don't follow his game plan, he holds them "accountable" for all the "mistakes" they made... :idunno:

I'm curious as to why fans being excited about an 8-0 start is so upsetting/ concerning to you? Why do you care that people are optimistic about the Bengals this year? Don't say that you're not, because you have spent ample time and effort trying to diminish what the Bengals have done so far.
