November 4, 201510 yr I don't want to ruin your holidays but you know only 1 will make it right? You think too highly of yourself. I really don't give crap who gets in or is left out unless it's UK and that ain't happening in my lifetime.
November 4, 201510 yr Florida got hosed. Hammered the team that Bama lost to, only loss at LSU by a TD. Typical. Bama only team in country that could beat nobody, lose to a mediocre team yet get a slot. Oh well, great thing about this format is there is virtually no shot 2 teams from any conference get in. I agree 100% Florida should be ahead of Bama. The committee used that criteria for ND with their close loss to Clemson, but they place no significance to Florida's close loss to LSU, the game after their QB got suspended for the year. Just doesn't make sense. Their criteria makes no sense and neither does their logic.
November 4, 201510 yr I mean thats fine and generally I agree with your premise, but this is the second year of the playoff and they are drastically altering everything that we are supposed to know about college football. You can't just come in here with these ideas about what you feel is important, but not give coaches time to adjust their schedules. Most of these schedules are made years ahead of time, and back when they made these current schedules coaches were relying on the traditional way of thought, don't lose a non conference game because if you do you have a very slim shot at winning a championship. Now the committee has obviously veered from that thought process, but the schools don't have the ability at the moment to adopt a new thought process because their schedules are made so far in advance. For instance, obviously the committee placed a high value on Clemson's win over ND, but ND has a deal with the ACC to play a certain amount of games against ACC schools so while that looks out of conference, it really isn't. Just doesn't make sense to me why the committee could possibly leave Baylor and/ or TCU out. The idea is to get the four beat teams in the country in the playoff. It's not about giving coaches time to adjust their scehdules and then saying well lets wait a few years before we start using are set criteria so coaches can adjust. There is a very good set criteria in place. It's very simple if you are in a power five conference and go undefeated you will most likely be in. Once this all plays out if tcu or Baylor is undefeated still they will find away to get in. There is no reason to worry about it right now.
November 4, 201510 yr You think too highly of yourself. I really don't give crap who gets in or is left out unless it's UK and that ain't happening in my lifetime. Ain't that the truth but you still get to blanket the SEC teams that do, gives you some rooting interest.
November 4, 201510 yr Florida is getting screwed right now. It will play out as more good teams play each other.
November 4, 201510 yr Florida barely beat UK no way they are top 4, they didnt get hosed in my opinion. Bama is a top 4 team, and I dislike them dearly. When they lose it takes some type of crazy punt return, a 5 TO game, something silly. Last years playoff loss was the first time in a long time 3-4 year span that someone actually beat Bama and dominated them. LSU/Bama will be a war, the winner will be in. If Florida wins the East they will get their shot. Clemson deserves to be there now, still dont think they can beat Baylor or TCU, not impressed. Notre Dame, and I am a Legion of Leprechaun fan, losing on a failed 2 point conversion puts them at #5. I dread them playing at Stanford, if they win there they will be in the top 4
November 4, 201510 yr They have 3/4 right. Clemson will choke their way out and Michigan State will slide in.
November 4, 201510 yr TCU & Baylor's conference schedules are end loaded, one of the two has a good shot at getting in the playoff if they take care of business.
November 4, 201510 yr TCU & Baylor's conference schedules are end loaded' date=' one of the two has a good shot at getting in the playoff if they take care of business.[/quote'] Gotta have one arena team in.
November 4, 201510 yr Gotta have one arena team in. Last years TCU team would have been a problem for any top team because their defense was also good. This year they mainly onlh have a top offense.
November 4, 201510 yr Last years TCU team would have been a problem for any top team because their defense was also good. This year they mainly onlh have a top offense. Gave up 61 points to Baylor... 2 arena football teams.

November 4, 201510 yr What are they called? College Football Playoff Rankings. Haha. Sorry I actually found some humor seeing you say BCS. I kind of thought you were saying it as joke. It's no big deal what they are called, but they aren't the BCS rankings anymore.
