November 4, 201510 yr College Football Playoff Rankings. Haha. Sorry I actually found some humor seeing you say BCS. I kind of thought you were saying it as joke. It's no big deal what they are called, but they aren't the BCS rankings anymore. I'm old school, holmes.
November 4, 201510 yr I just do not get Iowa. Do they play any of the best Big 10 teams this year? Their best win is a 10-6 win over Wisconsin. They don't play OSU, MSU, or Mich. Imagine if UK was undefeated. They don't play Bama, LSU, or Ole Miss because they are in the east. That's the position Iowa is in.
November 4, 201510 yr Author Man, Clizzy, I posted this last night when they were released. I see how you pay attention to me. You're a day late and a dollar short, homey.

November 4, 201510 yr Make the argument for Clemson being #1, please. Skip over the two 1-AA wins for me.
November 4, 201510 yr 1-loss teams and the current playoff ranking of the team they lost to: Bama 18 ND 1 Florida 2 Stanford 21 Utah unranked OU unranked FSU unranked Temple 5
November 4, 201510 yr Based on THUS FAR I'd say UF has gotten the short end of the stick. #6 SOS and only loss to #2 team in rankings.
November 4, 201510 yr Make the argument for Clemson being #1, please. Skip over the two 1-AA wins for me. As a Notre Dame fan I was not impressed with Clemson. Granted, their match-up was during a hurricane, but I thought the Irish were easily better, but just handed the game over. And the Irish still had a shot to win. With that said, I am fine with the rankings because the committee does allow fluidity with them. I would have the Buckeyes number one, but they have under performed. To say otherwise is a lie. A lot of that is due to Meyer's ego, I felt, in wanting to show us he could win with Jones under center. He came to his senses, then JT decided to... you know. The ship has not sailed and I like the Buckeyes going forward. Bama in the top 4 is a head scratcher for many; however, I too believe they suffered from the same ego coach syndrome, but it ended in an L for the Tide. Why on earth did Saban start the backup against Ole Miss? Coker wasn't great, but he wasn't terrible. Too large a hole to climb out of. I think the committee considers those type things.
November 4, 201510 yr I think these rankings show that there is still a lot of subjectivity involved - it's not straight math. Ohio State is a perfect example. 99% of people think they're top 4 based on an eyeball test BUT the numbers fail to show it. No great wins. SOS is fair at best. Yet they're #3. Subjectivity.
November 4, 201510 yr This time last year Ole Miss, Mississippi State, Auburn, and FSU were the 4 teams. Sorry if that has been said already.
